Packing

Our Brazilian suppliers take as much care in packaging your slates as they do in creating them. You can see for yourself the importance that is put on delivering your slate to you in perfect condition.

Slate tiles are packed in wooden crates made of eucalyptus or pinus in accordance with drawings and specifications thoroughly tested for resistance and ruggedness. Wooden boards and slats used to manufacture crates and boxes come from forestation projects approved by the appropriate Environmental Protection Agencies. Prior to shipping, wooden crates and boxes are fumigated in accordance with internationally approved norms. In the packing process the inside of the crates and boxes are covered with sturdy non-staining transparent plastic sheets to protect tiles from wetness, dust, oils, grease and other kinds of agents. Crate and box tops are nailed and then girdled with very strong plastic strips to ensure firmness of packing.
